POSITION SUMMARY:

The Plant Operations Manager at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles plays an essential leadership role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and fully operational healthcare environment. This position oversees the daily maintenance and overall functionality of the facility to support quality patient care and smooth hospital operations.

In this hands-on role, the Plant Operations Manager supervises maintenance staff and assists with the repair and upkeep of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, equipment, and general facility maintenance. The position also focuses on preventative maintenance to reduce disruptions, improve efficiency, and maintain long-term facility performance.

The Plant Operations Manager helps ensure compliance with healthcare and safety regulations by identifying potential hazards, supporting emergency preparedness efforts, and maintaining a clean, secure, and well-maintained environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Additional responsibilities may include carpentry, painting, groundskeeping, vendor coordination, and facility improvement projects.

The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled in problem-solving, communication, and facility operations while being committed to supporting the mission and growth of Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: Minimum High School Diploma
License: None
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in general maintenance experience in a hospital or business setting with
duties that include general maintenance tasks involving the upkeep of the facility.
