Pay : $60.00/hr - $70/hr on W2!


Job Description


The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness of estimates, and providing expert advice on cost-related matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare and review detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including hard bids, negotiated bids, and design-build projects
• Analyze and review project plans, specifications, and contracts to identify potential cost risks and opportunities
• Develop and maintain detailed estimates of construction costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Conduct site visits and meetings with project stakeholders to gather information and validate estimates
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and architects, to ensure estimates are accurate and complete
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry trends
• Stay up-to-date with market conditions, including material prices, labor rates, and subcontractor availability
• Provide expert advice and guidance on cost-related matters, including value engineering, cost savings opportunities, and risk management
• Develop and maintain estimating databases, spreadsheets, and other tools to support the estimating process
• Participate in bid reviews, scope reviews, and other project meetings to ensure estimates are accurate and complete
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other industry partners to stay informed about market conditions and best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or Certified Cost Estimator (CCE) designation
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in a similar industry or sector
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry trends
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and completeness of estimates
• Proficiency in estimating software, including Excel, Timberline, or similar programs
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Additional certifications, such as LEED AP or PMP
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other digital construction technologies
• Knowledge of industry-specific software, such as Procore or PlanGrid
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects, including commercial, industrial, or government projects
