Companion Care Animal Hospital in Fairfield, OH is hiring a part-time customer service representative/receptionist. The hours we need to fill are Tuesday and Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm. We have a dedicated, compassionate team and 3 experienced veterinarians. Our team understands the importance of the human-animal bond and care about the welfare of the people and pets we serve. Maturity, compassion, respect and desire to get along with all co-workers is necessary along with a desire to give excellent, prompt and respectful attention to clients.
Duties include polite and pleasant phone answering skills, making appointments, answering questions (which will require training), letting clients know what wellness care their pet needs, helping to educate clients about their pet's needs, checking clients in and out and scheduling rechecks, filing, taking messages, calling clients with information they may need and keeping the reception area clean and odor free.
You will be greeting clients and their pet(s) and confirming address, phone number and email and other pertinent information. You will be weighing pets and escorting clients to the examination room while engaging pleasantly with them and then checking them out after their visit and helping them schedule their next appointment or follow-up appointment when they are finished in the exam room. You will make sure their questions have been answered and they are aware of any recommended wellness/preventive care their pet might need.
All CCAH team members participate in making sure patients are clean, comfortable and well-cared for and that the facility is clean and odor-free. Clients and co-workers must be treated with friendliness and respect.
