Position Summary

Responsible for repairing, refurbishing, and cleaning basic Endoscopic surgical instruments under the supervision of a Lead Technician.

Schedule : Monday-Friday 7:00am -3:30pm

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

• Buff, polish, grind, and perform repairs on basic Endoscopic surgical instruments.
• Instruments include, but are not limited to, Endoscopic surgical instruments.
• Perform surface treatment and coating of instruments.
• Conduct red-wheeling and bead blasting as needed.
• Repair, replace, and realign components to complete full refurbishment of Endoscopic instrumentation.
• Evaluate, adjust, and test instrumentation.
• Maintain daily work logs.
• Tape instruments as required.
• Comply with applicable ISO and FDA regulations as stated in the Quality Manual.
• Successfully complete all required ISO and SOP training as outlined in the career path guide.
• Clean work area daily.

Expertise: Qualifications – Experience/Training/Education

Required

• High School Diploma.
• Previous experience with machining or handling delicate metal instruments is desirable.

Preferred

• Six months of refurbishing experience.
• Successful completion of Technician I Endoscopic Basic Repair training schedule requirements, including but not limited to:
  • Passing quality inspection.
  • Demonstrating how to locate applicable inspection instructions.
  • Identifying and listing applicable test materials on the worksheet.
  • Identifying and listing the appropriate equipment and tools on the worksheet.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel objects and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.

Salary Range : $19.31- $27.03 Hour

The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
