Qualifications:

• Valid Social Work license for New Jersey
• Demonstrated experience in a school setting, ideally with middle school students (recent graduates are not preferred)
• Previous success in managing caseloads for grades 6-8, navigating unique challenges of adolescent development
• Familiarity with the "Real Time Database" used by New Jersey schools or a quick adaptability to learn new digital tracking systems
• Strong organizational, communication, and advocacy skills, with the ability to liaise between students, families, and faculty
• Dedication to upholding ethical practice and confidentiality standards

Responsibilities:

• Provide case management for a roster of 35 middle school students, monitoring progress and developing action plans to support student well-being
• Conduct assessments and deliver interventions as needed, addressing a range of social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Facilitate communication between students, families, teachers, and administrators to ensure a cohesive support system
• Document case notes, updates, and service delivery accurately using the Real Time Database
• Participate in IEP/504 plan development and meetings, contributing social work expertise to student support teams
• Offer crisis intervention and coordinate referrals to external agencies as appropriate
