Data Validation Analyst
$60 - $70 per hourSoni
Soni's client is seeking an experienced QA / Data Validation Analyst with experience in application testing, data analysis, and financial or investment systems. The ideal candidate will have supported system implementations, migrations, conversions, or transitions. Responsibilities Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios. Perform functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing. Use SQL to investigate discrepancies, validate data integrity, and reconcile complex datasets. Compare source and target data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and proper transformation. Identify, document, and manage defects through resolution. Perform root-cause analysis and collaborate with technology teams to resolve issues. Partner with business and technology stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle. Support UAT, test tracking, reporting, and final validation. Identify opportunities to improve testing and data-validation processes. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in QA, application testing, data validation, business analysis, or a related field. Experience with financial services applications, investment systems, or complex business data. Experience with system implementations, migrations, conversions, or transitions. Strong SQL skills and experience with data reconciliation and validation. Experience developing and executing test plans and test cases. Experience with defect management tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in investment management, asset management, wealth management, or financial services. Experience testing portfolio management, investment accounting, trading, performance, or related systems. Experience with ETL or data migration testing. Familiarity with investment data such as portfolios, securities, transactions, positions, and valuations. Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or similar tools. Agile/Scrum experience and/or exposure to automated testing frameworks.
