Reefer Diesel Mechanic Technician

Reefer Diesel Mechanic / Technician Up to $32/hour depending on experience 4 DAY Workweek!! 10 Hour Shifts!! Transervice Logistics awarded Winner of 2023 Best Places to Work. This position requires experience in Thermo King or Carrier refrigeration units. Responsibilities Perform all levels of maintenance services on refrigeration units such as Thermo King commercial refrigeration equipment designed for commercial trucks and trailers. Test lines, components, and connections using electrical, mechanical and pneumatic test equipment. Read complex schematics associated with refrigeration equipment. Identify warrantable repairs and document orders. Provide support regarding preventative maintenance and tractor trailer maintenance as required. Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications. Perform system repairs to include engines, hydraulic systems, tires, electrical and A/C. Requirements Certification from a diesel mechanic trade school or minimum of 3 years of related experience. Must have experience as a reefer or Thermo King/Carrier mechanic. Specialized training and experience in the overhaul of refrigeration components. CDL license – Preferred. Ability to read, write and speak English. Basic math skills. Strong diagnostic skills. Knowledge of hydraulics. Own set of tools. Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
