Position Summary Acuren Inspection is now hiring a hard‑working, dependable Painter to work on a project basis to start as soon as possible. The Technician is responsible for carrying out duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner as assigned by the Supervisor. Responsibilities Have a comprehensive knowledge of Painting/Blasting. Assist other technicians as required. Perform specific job functions as they relate to work orders. Ensure operational safety of all equipment. Other work duties as assigned. Requirements Knowledge of coating materials, application techniques, and curing processes. Experience with paint and industrial equipment. Experience using a wet paint gun, hand and power tools, and other painting equipment. The ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings. The ability to read and use coating thickness gages, surface profile gages, dew point meters, soluble salt testers, and hardness or ultrasonic thickness gages. Previous pipeline experience preferred. NCCER Painter certification a plus. NACE certification a plus. Benefits Competitive salary Medical, dental, and supplemental insurance 401K Plan Career growth and advancement Working Conditions Extreme cold and extreme heat environmental conditions, in and near hazards to include proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places in excess of 100 feet, exposure to high heat, extreme cold, or exposure to chemicals, in conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin such as fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. Adaptable to changing schedules with willingness to travel regularly, including last minute and overnight travel. Must be willing to overtime. Physical demands: ability to withstand demanding tasks in extreme temperatures, heights, and limited visibility for extended periods; navigate industrial environments using rope systems and climbing equipment; meet vision and hearing requirements; lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly, 60+ pounds on occasion; maneuver in confined spaces; withstand loud noise and work long days up to 16 consecutive hours; maintain stamina for extended rope suspension; provide manual dexterity for technical rope work and tool handling. #J-18808-Ljbffr
