About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Financial Risk to lead its financial risk team, with a focus on credit and sustainability risks. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that these risks are effectively managed and integrated within the organization. This role involves close collaboration with non-financial risk management, compliance, and legal teams, as well as the development and maintenance of the risk profile and appetite in line with corporate strategy. The Head of Financial Risk will also be involved in advising on strategic and regulatory change initiatives, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and representing the Chief Risk Officer when necessary. Applicants for the Head of Financial Risk position at the company should have a university degree and a minimum of 10-15 years' experience in financial risk management, with a proven track record in leading teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships. Key requirements include excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, a strong knowledge of financial regulations, and experience with supervisory bodies. The role demands an in-depth understanding of credit, liquidity, market, and sustainability risks, as well as familiarity with relevant regulations such as EBA LOM, PSD2, and Basel IV. The Head of Financial Risk will also be responsible for training and supporting first-line employees in financial risk management.
