Hours may vary. 7-3 and 3-11 as well as holidays and weekends.Experience in drywall repair and painting is a plus. POSITION PURPOSEMaintain the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. Ensure the upkeep of guest areas to maintain an attractive hotel. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSTroubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical/electrical systems and equipment through the hotel (e.g. HVAC, plumbing)Perform and document guest room and public areas using the Property Preservation procedures set forth by the Director of EngineeringProvide quarterly preventative maintenance summary to the Director of EngineeringMaintain guest room and public area electronic lock system to include troubleshooting, programming locks, reading locks, replacing locks, and printing lock reportsMaintain hotel laundry equipmentAssist with guest room mattress rotation quarterlyService the hotel's pool and spa including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filtersComplete maintenance logsMaintain the building exterior (e.g. snow removal, lawn care, painting)Maintain parking lot, including picking up trash and emptying trashcansAssist with annual tool inventory, forward to Director of EngineeringAssist with conducting key audits and maintain accurate records of keys and who has themProvide information to guests about hotel services, facilities, other amenities, and local attractionsProactively listen for and respond to guest complaints to their ultimate satisfactionKnow and be able to train and explain emergency evacuation procedures of the hotelOTHERRegular attendance in compliance with the Hotel's standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required. Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with the Hotel's rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel's facilities.
