Regional Medical Scientific Director (RMSD) - Uro-Oncology (Great Lakes)

Merck seeks a credentialed Regional Medical Scientific Director in uro-oncology to serve the Great Lakes region. This role engages with external medical leaders on scientific topics, supports clinical research initiatives, and provides scientific expertise with no sales responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain peer-to-peer scientific relationships with regional urology leaders and experts
- Address scientific inquiries and direct questions outside scope to appropriate company resources
- Liaise between scientific community and company on clinical research foundations and trial participation
- Engage at scientific congresses to facilitate data exchange and gather market insights
- Identify enrollment barriers and potential investigators for company-sponsored clinical studies
Requirements
- PhD, PharmD, DNP, or MD credential required
- Minimum 3 years therapeutic area experience in oncology or urology
- Clinical or research experience in assigned therapeutic area beyond degree
- Field-based medical science liaison experience
- Doctoral-level discussion capabilities with external stakeholders
- Comprehensive knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and pharmaceutical regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to travel up to 50% overnight
