Cleaning Crew - Maintenance & Support

Overview Responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy. Vacuums, buffs floors, shampoos carpets, empties trash receptacles, and replaces lining of trash cans. Location Oakdale Shift 1pm to 5pm Essential Job Functions Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, baths, showers, and drinking fountains, cleaning buildings by emptying trash, sweeping, dusting, and cleaning surfaces. Monitor building security and safety by locking doors after operating hours. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Perform light maintenance as directed by the Swept Free supervisor. Demonstrate professional conduct at all times; follow the code of conduct and Agency expectations as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Transport Swept FREE team members to and from TRI location in Westbury to FREE location in Bethpage. Duties and Responsibilities Must be able to work in a team oriented environment. Education, Work Experience, and Competencies Experience in janitorial/maintenance industry preferred. Must have a valid NYS driver’s license. Physical Demands Must be able to stand for 5-6 hours at a time and lift over 50 lbs.
