Key Responsibilities Patient Check‑In/Out – Greet patients, verify information, update records, and manage end‑of‑visit procedures. Appointment Scheduling – Manage calendars, confirm appointments, handle cancellations, and optimize provider schedules. Insurance Verification – Confirm eligibility, benefits, frequencies, and pre‑authorizations. Financial Coordination – Present treatment plans, collect payments, explain balances, and process claims. Phone & Communication Management – Answer calls, respond to messages, and maintain professional communication. Record Management – Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance. Office Support – Assist with daily administrative tasks, reports, and office organization. Required Skills & Qualifications Customer Service Skills – Friendly, professional, patient‑focused. Dental Software Knowledge – Experience with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, OpenDental, or similar. Insurance Understanding – PPO, HMO, Medicaid, pre‑auths, frequencies, limitations. Communication Skills – Clear verbal and written communication. Multitasking – Ability to manage phones, patients, and admin tasks simultaneously. HIPAA Knowledge – Protect patient privacy and follow compliance rules. Basic Accounting – Payment posting, balancing, and financial accuracy. Preferred Experience 1–2 years in a dental office or medical front desk. Familiarity with treatment planning, insurance breakdowns, and claim follow‑up.
