The Registered Nurse focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care. The role prioritizes customer satisfaction and quality outcomes. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit. Promoting personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice is essential. The Registered Nurse supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. This role involves assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. The Registered Nurse focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The educational and professional experiences of the Registered Nurse aid in the delivery of quality care. Mentoring and precepting staff are also key responsibilities. Responsibilities include performing assessments and reassessments per policy or as warranted by patient condition. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions. Initiating, prioritizing, and implementing the plan of care is crucial. Collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services enhances care. Monitoring and documenting responses to clinical interventions is a key duty. Facilitating and evaluating education specific to patient/family needs is required. Delegating tasks to personnel and functioning as a mentor or preceptor is expected. The Registered Nurse encourages teamwork and communicates opportunities for improvement. Participation in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts is essential. Compliance with regulatory standards is mandatory. Engagement in the governance model is required.
