Looking for a role that gets you out of the office and on the road?

PublicWorks1 is hiring aTraveling Data Collection Specialist to help cities and counties across the U.S. improve their infrastructure using advanced technology. This is ahigh-travel role (95%) where youll spend most weeks traveling MondayFriday, collecting roadway data using 360 imaging, GPS, and GIS tools. If you enjoy travel, hands-on work, are organized and have great communication skills, this could be a great fit.

Responsibilities

• Travel extensively across the U.S. by plane and car
• Collect roadway and infrastructure data using 360 imaging technology
• Navigate routes and provide directions to drivers
• Support pavement condition assessments for municipal projects
• Communicate professionally with city and county personnel as needed
• Track travel details, receipts, and project data
• Stay organized and reliable in a fast-paced, travel-heavy schedule

Qualifications:

• Must live in Cache Valley Utah and be willing to travel 95% of the time (weekly travel)
• Strong navigation and map-reading skills
• Strongproficiency in Microsoft Office
• Comfortable using tablets (iPads)
• Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous travel-heavy or field-based work experience
• Familiarity with GIS, mapping, or data collection tools
• Bachelors degree (not required)

Compensation

• Salaried position of $45,000
• Bonus tied to completed jobs
• Per diem paid when traveling based on current GSA Rates
