Job Summary

The General Manager for Corporate Restaurant Operations manages all aspects of a Papa Johns restaurant to ensure profitability. This role involves autonomous leadership, quality decision‑making, and the implementation of proper planning, forecasting, and systems. Responsibilities include overseeing operations, executing corporate policies, procedures, programs, and systems, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

• Monitor product quality and customer service standards, identify deficiencies, and follow up with direct reports to address and correct issues. Respond professionally and promptly to all customer concerns, solicit feedback, share it with the team, and use it to improve operations and build brand loyalty. Oversee training and execution of quality standards.
• Oversee recruiting efforts to meet staffing needs and ensure compliance with uniform and appearance standards. Establish and communicate performance expectations, conduct timely performance reviews, document performance issues, and take appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Effectively coach and develop direct reports and foster a collaborative, energetic environment, including implementing recognition programs to reward and retain high‑performing team members.
• Manage sales goals against budget and prior year, ensuring prompt and friendly customer service; monitor and execute plans to address deficiencies in sales trends such as ticket average and order frequency. Seek additional sales through traditional and non‑traditional methods by executing creative local marketing and creating a positive community presence.
• Manage profit goals against budget and prior year; ensure food, labor, and other controllable costs stay within budget and correct deviations by accurately using the FOCUS system. Develop and implement plans to resolve unfavorable trends and enhance profits. Execute administrative and cash management duties, plan inventory levels using the computerized system to meet demand and minimize loss, and manage company assets by ensuring the restaurant is clean, fully equipped, and all equipment operates properly. Maintain safety, security, and preventative maintenance standards.

Education, Experience & Certifications

• Two years of successful restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Serv‑Safe, Local, or State Food Service Certification.
• Basic accounting, including invoice reconciliation and financial statement analysis.
• Cash management skills.
• Bilingual in certain markets (if applicable).
• Valid driver’s license under the laws of the state(s) where the team member works, insurance, satisfactory vehicle, and ability to drive.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work long hours (50+ hours per week required), including nights, weekends, and emergencies.
