At DEUTZ—global leader in diesel, gas, and electric drivetrains for equipment across construction, agriculture, material handling, stationary power, commercial and rail—you’ll own repairs end‑to‑end inside our DEUTZ Power Center.

In this shop-based role, you’ll partner with the Service Manager, Parts Specialists, and the DEUTZ Service Department to diagnose issues, plan the repair path, pre‑order parts, and deliver safe, precise repairs on DEUTZ and non‑DEUTZ engines. You’ll keep customers informed with honesty and respect, ensure top‑notch cosmetic finishes, return unused parts per policy, and close out accurate work orders and time entries.

• Preventative maintenance and routine repair execution
• Accurate fault identification and solution matching
• Organized, clean, and safe work area that reflects DEUTZ standards
• On‑time completion of assignments with full documentation
• Support for warranty claim filing and invoice accuracy
• Strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety practices

• Self‑directed, adaptable, and dependable teammate with a positive outlook
• Professional communicator—face‑to‑face and by phone
• Problem solver with systems thinking and strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management; sets priorities and meets goals

• Reports to: Service Manager
• Supervisory responsibility: None
• Travel: 0–10% domestic

• High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of two years of diesel engine experience
• Four or more years working as a shop service technician
• Comfort with basic computer tasks and portable diagnostic tools

• Deep familiarity with DEUTZ diesel engines
• Own professional tool set
• Hands‑on experience with NG/CNG systems and Tier 3–4 emissions
• Relevant certifications/training in heavy equipment and diesel engine repair

• Mostly on your feet in a dynamic shop setting
• Possible exposure to outdoor conditions and high noise
