As a Field Auto Adjuster, you will be at the forefront of our claims process, meeting customers where they are – whether at their home, a repair shop, or a tow yard. You will take the lead in writing estimates and guiding customers through the repair or total loss process using a mix of in‑person visits, virtual inspections, and written communication. No two days are the same; you will evaluate damage on‑site or collaborate with body shops and service providers in a fast‑paced, hands‑on role that keeps you engaged and on your toes. Preferred Qualifications 3‑5 years of experience in auto collision estimating using CCC or Mitchell High School Diploma or GED Proficient written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers Strong attention to detail and ability to write precise and comprehensive estimates Comfortable using technology and various platforms for claims processing Excellent time management and organizational skills to manage multiple assignments effectively Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as part of the job requirements A Day in the Life of the Field Auto Damage Adjuster The Customer Service Expert – care, empower, and restore; lead with empathy, clear communication, and commitment to each claim. The Investigator – independently investigate casualty claims, review damage details, and interpret policies to determine coverage. The Effective Communicator – use phone, email, and video chat to guide customers through a fast, fair, and easy claims process, offering the communication preference that best suits the customer. The Negotiator – evaluate and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third‑party carriers, and claimants, incorporating tactics for challenging situations. The Problem Solver – use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to get the job done quickly and accurately. The Recorder – Your Eye for Detail Keeps Everything on Track – document claims accurately and in line with policy agreements, maintaining clear, timely records in our claims system. Work Location This position is a field‑based role. Eligible candidates must be located in Creve Coeur, MO. Company Car Based on our Company Car Guidelines, this role may qualify for a company car. Leadership determines eligibility based on annual work mileage for this location. You may be required to use your personal vehicle until the guidelines are met. Mileage reimbursements are available for personal vehicle usage during work. Training Requirement You may be required to attend two weeks of training held in person at our Dallas, TX office. Notice of Licensing Requirement As a condition of employment you may need to obtain an adjuster’s license in multiple markets (including an appraiser’s license in RI). All required licenses must be obtained within 60 days of hire. You must maintain all licensing required for your role, including continuing education and state‑affiliated renewal requirements. This role offers a sign‑on bonus of $1,000 if you have an active appraiser license or active adjuster license in TX, FL, or your resident state. Current employees and candidates previously worked for and are seeking to be rehired at Allstate and its family of companies are not eligible for this sign‑on bonus.
