Workday Payroll Senior Consultant

Role Description

• Lead and support the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday Payroll solutions.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and IT teams to gather requirements, document processes, and translate business needs into Workday configurations.
• Workday payroll experience, including earnings, deductions, tax elections, and reporting structures.
• Develop and execute test plans for payroll functionality, including regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Support payroll operations during implementation, parallel testing, and cutover activities.
• Troubleshoot payroll issues, identify root causes, and provide timely resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, as well as internal company policies.
• Provide post-implementation support, system maintenance, and user training.
• Stay current on Workday releases, industry trends, and regulatory changes to recommend improvements.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of Workday Payroll experience with hands-on configuration and implementation.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, wage/tax calculations, garnishments, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with Workday modules such as HCM, Time Tracking, and Absence Management is highly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Workday certification in Payroll required.
