IT Software Testing Coordinator
Location: Deer Park, Texas Schedule: 3 days onsite and 2 days remote Type: 12 month contract to start
The Test Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the software testing of our SAP S/4HANA project and third-party applications. This role will ensure that our testing process aligns to industry best practices. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in software test management and be an excellent leader, communicator, and problem solver. The successful candidate must seek to understand the refinery business, Oil and Gas practices, and be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
Sits on the SAP S4/HANA core team and collaborates with project leads from Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Construction, and Engineering. Works closely with the PMO (Project Management Office) team to deliver SAP S/4HANA project. Works closely with the cross-functional IT technical team including developers, project managers, and business analysts. Able to report test plans and status to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Management: Create and enforce SAP S4 implementation test plans
- Track test results and reporting on issues and defects
- Developing stage-gate pass/fail criteria and inform key stakeholders of the overall process
- Policies: Create a testing strategy that will be used as a basis for company testing strategy
- Influence technology roadmap for test management platforms
- Develop procedures and policies to enforce process for test management in conjunction with our vendor partners
- Technical Leadership and Business Processes: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team, adhering to best practices
Skills & Experience Required:
Bachelors or Master’s degree and five (5) years or more experience. Proven experience as Test Coordinator. Proven experience with upgrade management in SAAS applications. Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA (Preferred). Experience with test automation and testing software. Ability to collaborate and communicate across different levels of the organization and influence cross functional teams
Preferred Experience: Experience with ADO or ServiceNow Test Management. Experience with common applications and processes used at a in Oil and Gas
