DevOps Scripting And Logging Engineer

The position is contract based within the Security Logging team of the Security Engineering Group, where there is potential to extend past the interval. DocuSign is seeking a passionate, dynamic, and experienced DevOps Scripting and Logging Engineer to join our team. The position reports directly to the Manager of Logging and SIEM within the Security Technology and Innovations Group.

The Role

In this dynamic and fast paced role you will write and set up scripts to onboard new data sources and policies to Azure LogAnalytics / Azure Sentinel platform.

• Scripts will need to be developed to create and deploy Azure policies.
• Terraform or Powershell scripts will need to be made to deploy LogicApps, Azure functions, and Data Connectors for data collection.

Responsibilities

• Onboard data from traditional and custom data sources using infrastructure as code in the process of deploying to Azure.
• Develop analytics rules, incidents, playbooks, notebooks, workbooks, threat hunting and KQL queries for data normalization and parsing capabilities within Log Analytics' data ingestion pipeline.
• Develop Logic Apps, Azure functions and policies.
• Administer Log Analytics and Azure Sentinel while monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the platform.
• Train the Security Logging team on Azure Sentinel and Log Analytics concepts and document procedures.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, 5+ years scripting in Terraform or Powershell, 1+ years in Azure Sentinel and Log Analytics.
• Expertise in the Kusto Query Language (KQL)
• Working knowledge of tools & technologies like: Terraform, Git, Powershell.
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud architecture & deployment
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience:
• Microsoft Graph APIs
• Implemented automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
• Great communication skills and ability to work in teams.

Essential Qualifications

• Building Azure Cloud Infrastructure with automated provisioning with terraform and/or other deployment tools.
• Working knowledge and experience with Logic Apps, Azure functions, data connectors, and policy deployment.
• Terraform and Powershell scripting

Preferred Qualifications

• Provisioning with Container Orchestration using Elastic Kubernetes Service/Docker etc
• Previous experience in leading out similar technical projects that have business needs, decisions, and requirements at its core
• Ability to articulate risks and risk mitigations to technical, business, and executive audiences in verbal and written formats.
