Openwork is currently seeking dependable and hardworking Machine Assistants for a plastics manufacturing facility located in Lawrenceville, GA. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment and are comfortable performing hands-on manufacturing duties.
The Machine Assistant will support machine operators with daily production activities, monitor product quality, handle materials, and help maintain an efficient and safe manufacturing operation.
Job ResponsibilitiesAssist machine operators with the operation of plastics manufacturing equipment.
Load and unload plastic materials and finished products from production machinery.
Remove, trim, and package plastic components as directed.
Monitor production lines to ensure continuous material flow and minimize downtime.
Count, sort, label, and prepare finished products for packaging and shipment.
Perform basic machine cleaning and assist with routine production changeovers.
Report machine malfunctions, product defects, and safety concerns to supervisors.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform additional manufacturing and production duties as assigned.
Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or machine operation preferred but not required.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move materials in accordance with job requirements.
Fast-paced plastics manufacturing and production facility.
Extended periods of standing and repetitive physical activity.
Exposure to machinery noise and potentially warm production conditions.
Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Pay: $15.12 per hour
Schedule: 12-hour shifts; specific workdays and rotation to be confirmed.
