Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance MechanicJoin our Zanesville Meat Plant as a Maintenance Mechanic! In this role, you'll maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime, maximize efficiency, and support safe, quality food production. You'll also help maintain refrigeration systems, building equipment, and plant grounds while following all safety and sanitation standards.Location: Zanesville, OH Schedule: Full-Time | 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) Pay: $30.00/hourResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, maintain, and repair production equipment and facility systemsPerform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtimeMaintain refrigeration, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systemsAssemble, disassemble, and repair machineryPerform basic welding and fabrication as neededComplete maintenance logs and repair documentationFollow all food safety, quality, and workplace safety proceduresAssist with facility upkeep and support scheduled weekend or holiday maintenance as neededQualifications & RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required1–3 years of industrial or general maintenance experienceExperience with one or more of the following: refrigeration, 480V 3-phase electrical, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, air compressors, or weldingAbility to read blueprints and electrical/mechanical schematicsStrong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skillsFamiliarity with lockout/tagout and safe work practicesAbility to lift up to 70 lbs. and work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperaturesDependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently and as part of a teamEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
