Training Specialist

Report to the Human Resources Manager or Training Manager on site Coordinate and deliver DSV- and client-required training courses Develop and conduct role-specific competency training in systems and leadership development Provide ongoing support to employees in training areas Orient new associates and provide refresher training on site policies Monitor, measure, and report staff training and development plans and achievements Facilitate shift training on operations, quality, standards, and procedures Implement and deliver on-the-job training programs to improve site performance Conduct and supervise employee training and development programs Enter all training information into the database Ensure quality and training programs meet regulatory, DSV, and client requirements Keep site programs audit-ready for ISO client and 5‑Star DSV requirements Maintain equipment and materials needed for training delivery and measurement Plan, develop, and implement staff training and development strategies and measurement systems Verify equipment operator certifications and equipment validation before operation Issue certification cards, ID badges, and safety cards to associates Answer associate questions or find answers Collaborate with management and operations to meet business needs Evaluate associate skill levels, identify gaps, and retrain associates on updates Maintain accurate staffing changes, training files, forms, orientation packets, and safety packets Complete additional tasks assigned by management Requirements High School diploma or equivalent 2 years’ experience working in warehousing and/or logistics preferred 1-year clerical experience Proficient in MS Office applications English reading, writing, and verbal skills Intermediate mathematical skills Experience developing and implementing training programs Knowledge of inventory management procedures and warehousing terminology and best practices Effective communication skills across management and entry-level team members Excellent organizational skills Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures during warmer and colder months Ability to work overtime as dictated by business needs Flexible scheduling, including changing days and hours for training purposes Ability to complete work with limited supervision Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in developing and implementing training programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and effectively communicating with diverse teams.
