Associate Client Advocate (Remote)

Summary of Role This full‑time position works with the Benefits Administration and Claims Advocacy teams and reports directly to the AVP of Benefit Administration. The role involves daily claims advocacy for multiple clients, providing excellent customer service, handling standard claims issues, and assisting senior team members with complex appeals. Local applicants work a hybrid schedule during training and then transition to remote work; out‑of‑state candidates must follow EST schedules. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Act as a liaison between insurance providers and clients regarding employee status and eligibility for coverage. Resolve standard claim issues and support complex or non‑standard claim appeals. Verify completion and validity of claim forms. Review company records to determine coverage. Calculate claim amounts and submit for payment. Enter all client data into the CRM system (SalesForce) in a timely manner. Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Knowledge of Medical, Dental, Vision Plans, and Flexible Spending Accounts. Experience with insurance carrier self‑service portals and call centers is a plus. Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced and demanding environment. Vigorous attention to detail, highly organized, and able to balance multiple tasks simultaneously. Education and/or Experience Four‑year college or university degree or equivalent experience. 1–3 years of benefit administration or claims processing experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registration New York State Life, Accident, and Health License a plus or willingness to obtain. The base salary range may be adjusted based on experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, the position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
