Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU

• Provide advanced care and management of cardiovascular patients using CVICU devices
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring including swans and art lines
• Manage ventilators and apply strong critical thinking skills
• Engage in post-operative care for Post CABG, VAD, and Cath with support devices
• Collaboratively float across units as per guidelines, if needed

Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU

• Active TX RN License
• ACLS and BLS certification
• NIH Stroke certification
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience
• Proficiency in Meditech charting is preferred
• IABP and CRRT exposure is an asset
