Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist – Lanham, MD Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Lanham, MD. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards A Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may meet requirements in lieu of work experience. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills; both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Travel to additional site as needed, reliable transportation. Pay Range $17.75 – $26.00 per hour. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan for employees working 20 or more hours per week. 401(k) Plan only for employees working less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees. Eligibility for all benefits except PTO or FTO for employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule.
