Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) is required.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive emergency care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include triaging patients, administering medications, and managing critical care procedures in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess patients presenting in the Emergency Department.
- Administer medications and perform medical procedures as required.
- Support the locked Behavioral Health units within the Emergency Department.
- Participate in rapid evaluation units for critical and urgent care needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department experience required.
- Must hold a valid RN license in Maryland or a compact state.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS are required; CEN is preferred.
- Experience with behavioral health care and critical care settings is preferred.
- Precepting and training experience is a plus.
