Child Life Specialist

What you'll do
- Assess the psychosocial, developmental, and emotional needs of pediatric patients and families.
- Provide preparation, education, coping support, and therapeutic activities to enhance the patient experience.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient and family-centered care.
- Mentor child life students and volunteers and serve as a resource within pediatric service areas.
- Support community outreach efforts, special events, and donation programs that benefit pediatric patients.
- Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) or able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
- Experience working with pediatric patients and families in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate support during challenging healthcare experiences.
- Passion for child development, family-centered care, and patient advocacy.

Licensure
Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) or able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
Education
Bachelor's Degree Child Life Required OR Bachelor's Degree Family Studies Required
Experience
1 Year Clinical - Child-Life Program Preferred 1 Year Fellowship/Internship/Residency - Related Area Preferred
