Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

We provide high‑quality, accessible care and a supportive environment for professional growth. We are looking for a full‑time Nurse Practitioner for our Pensacola, FL location. The role focuses on diagnosing, prescribing medications, and delivering emergency psychiatric services, including physical and psychosocial examination of patients. Requirements Experience working with all ages and Suboxone Provide outpatient and residential care for patients with changes in mental status or chronic/urgent medical conditions Work independently with the medical team, holding clinical privileges approved by the clinic’s Medical Executive Board Participate in an interdisciplinary team that offers primary care to employees and patients Perform patient histories and physicals, assess risk factors, order therapeutic and diagnostic tests, and attend consultations and appointments Prescribe medications in accordance with clinic policy and state regulations Consult physicians on cases beyond the scope of a PMHNP Document patient data in medical records and case presentations Design, execute, and review health‑education programs for patients and families Ensure smooth communication with other health professionals to deliver clinic services effectively Provide nursing and medical staff with consultation to improve performance and quality of service delivery Proficient in English, both spoken and written Possess an unrestricted, current, complete and active graduate professional nurse and nurse practitioner registration in a state Hold Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from the ANCC Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a master’s degree in Psychiatric or Mental Health Nursing from a state‑approved accredited school Demonstrate strong understanding of societal influences on mental health, problem‑solving, and patient monitoring skills Be compassionate, sensitive, and possess strong reasoning and thinking skills Have strong computer skills, including word processing, data entry, and medical software applications Benefits 401(k) Matching Health Insurance Vision Insurance 3 Weeks PTO in the first year 7 Paid Holidays Mental Health Days CME and Elite DNA University training Schedule 8‑hour shift Monday to Friday, in‑person outpatient setting Job Type Full‑time Salary Up to $130,000 per year Supplemental Pay Types Quarterly bonus Work Setting In‑person outpatient Work Location Pensacola, FL Certified Nurse Practitioner (Required) Must hold a valid nurse practitioner license #J-18808-Ljbffr
