Quality Engineer

Saint-Gobain is seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer II to join our team in Akron, Ohio. In this role, you will help drive quality excellence within a manufacturing environment that supports critical applications and demanding customer requirements.

This is an opportunity to be a key contributor in maintaining and improving our Quality Management System, partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, customers, suppliers, and auditors to ensure products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

As a Quality Engineer II, you will:

• Support and enhance our Quality Management System (QMS)

• Lead and participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions (CAPA)

• Manage customer complaints and quality-related issues

• Support change control, document control, and training processes

• Conduct and support internal audits and ISO certification activities

• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve product and process quality

• Support supplier quality initiatives and audit activities

• Partner with customers to resolve quality concerns and maintain strong relationships

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data and quality tools

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field

• 5+ years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment

• 5+ years of experience in a regulated industry such as medical device, pharmaceutical, biopharma, aerospace, or food and beverage manufacturing

• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS)

• Experience with:

• Root cause analysis

• CAPA systems

• Internal auditing

• Complaint handling

• Change management

• Documentation systems

• Knowledge of ISO and/or cGMP requirements

• Strong communication and project leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ Certifications such as CQE, CQA, or CQM

• Lean Manufacturing experience

• Experience supporting ISO certification programs

• Supplier quality and audit experience
