Seeking an experienced Accounting/Finance Manager to oversee payroll, AP, AR, banking, financial reporting, job costing, WIP, insurance, and construction accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll , timecards, payroll processing, workers’ comp, 401(k), and tax reporting.
• Manage Accounts Payable , checks, vendors, lien releases, 1099s, and credit cards.
• Manage Accounts Receivable , billing, collections, deposits, reconciliations, and monthly close.
• Manage banking, investments, cash flow, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare/review financial statements, WIP reports, job costing, backlog analysis, and journal entries .
• Coordinate year-end accounting and tax filings with outside CPA firm.
• Manage insurance renewals, COIs, workers’ comp, liability, audits, and subcontractor compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and support accounting staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field .
• 5+ years of construction accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of WIP, job costing, backlog analysis, and construction finance .
• Prior team leadership/mentoring experience.
• Advanced Excel, MS Office, Word, and Outlook skills.
• Strong communication, organization, confidentiality, and multitasking skills.
• Sage 100 and GCPay experience preferred.
• Knowledge of banking, insurance, legal/risk management preferred.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
• MBA or CPA is a plus.
