CATERING ADMINSTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Duties
Greets and directs visitors in person and over the telephone. Provides information to guests, has a general knowledge of catering standards, procedures, and limitations and is knowledgeable as to where to find answers to guests' questions. Takes messages, communicates messages to other personnel. Composes correspondence from brief verbal or written instruction from a supervisor, and is responsible for the correct spelling, paragraphing, grammar, and format of all correspondence. Responsible for revenue reconciliation, accounting for all monies, balanced daily, weekly, monthly, and annually. Collects cash receipts, credit card receipts, register tapes, and revenue summary reports. Prepares and issues change funds for cashiers and bartenders as required. Notifies management of discrepancies or irregularities. Able to operate food and beverage point of sales terminals with complete understanding and accuracy. Responsible for transporting revenue receipts and cash to our accounting department daily. Responsible for recording and balancing revenue reports for catering and food & beverage operations overall.
