Step into Your New Role We are currently seeking a full-time Transportation Engineer to join our team. Our team works with State and Local Governments on transportation related projects. We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills to assist our current staff in serving our clients. This position will be responsible for performing detailed design, analysis, and engineering calculations for a variety of civil/transportation projects. V&K Benefits Benefits available 30 days following date of employment, includes: Medical, Dental, Vision, Short and Long Term Disability, plus additional supplemental insurances Clothing allowing 401k with company match Paid time off and 9 paid holidays Paid training and development on and off site Main Duties and Responsibilities: Design of complex transportation infrastructure projects, with a focus on roadway and highway elements Prepare and review project reports Communicates and schedules work with Survey Department Completes work on schedule and within budgets Plans and prepares transportation project plans and specifications Periodic on-site construction observation Requirements: 10+ years of transportation engineering experience Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Strong written and verbal communication skills Missouri or Iowa PE required. PTOE not required but desired Experience with PowerGEOPAK and/or OpenRoads Designer preferred MoDOT or IaDOT experience preferred, KDOT experience acceptable Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Illinois Pay Transparency Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
