Machine Service Technician – Manufacturing Facility

POSITION SUMMARY

INU PAK, LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly skilled Machine Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, and service industrial manufacturing equipment.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills, with experience working on automated production lines, industrial presses, and aluminum foil container manufacturing machinery.

The Machine Service Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Machine Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot industrial presses, automated feeders, stackers, compressors, conveyors, and production equipment.
• Replace defective components, motors, sensors, bearings, belts, valves, and electrical parts.
• Minimize machine downtime and ensure continuous production operations.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential equipment failures.

2. Electrical & Mechanical Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot electrical control panels, wiring, relays, contactors, sensors, and motor controls.
• Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled machinery and automated systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFDs), motors, and industrial automation components.
• Repair and maintain hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform machine adjustments, calibrations, and alignment.

3. Production Equipment Setup & Operation

• Assist with installation, assembly, and commissioning of new production machinery.
• Set up and adjust production machines for different product sizes and specifications.
• Assist with mold and tooling changes on industrial press machines.
• Ensure proper alignment and operation of molds, feeders, and stacking equipment.
• Support machine operators in resolving production-related mechanical issues.
• Optimize equipment performance, production speed, and product quality.

4. Preventive Maintenance

• Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
• Lubricate, clean, inspect, and service machinery.
• Monitor machine performance and identify early signs of equipment deterioration.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair reports, and equipment service logs.
• Recommend replacement parts and maintain critical spare-parts inventory.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety procedures.
• Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures before servicing equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Inspect machine guards, emergency stops, and safety systems.
• Report unsafe operating conditions and recommend corrective actions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial machine maintenance, mechanical repair, or manufacturing equipment servicing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, technical manuals, and mechanical blueprints.
• Experience working with industrial presses, compressors, motors, and production machinery.
• Ability to use multimeters, diagnostic instruments, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to respond quickly to machine breakdowns and production emergencies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with machine operators, supervisors, and management.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Candidates with experience in the following areas will receive priority consideration:

• Aluminum foil container manufacturing machinery.
• High-speed aluminum press machines (60-ton, 80-ton, or similar).
• Automatic aluminum coil feeders and straighteners.
• Pneumatic stackers and automated product handling systems.
• Aluminum foil molds, dies, and tooling adjustments.
• Scrap removal systems and industrial balers.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Industrial electrical installation and control panel maintenance.
• Manufacturing production lines operating multiple shifts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work around industrial machinery for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery and high-voltage electrical equipment.
• Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform maintenance during scheduled downtime and emergency breakdowns.

WORK SCHEDULE

• Full-time position.
• Flexible schedule based on production requirements.
• Occasional overtime, weekends, or emergency maintenance may be required.
• Availability to support extended production hours and multiple shifts.

The Machine Service Technician will be evaluated based on:

1. Reduction of machine downtime and production interruptions.

7. Ability to support continuous manufacturing operations.
