Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg/Telemetry St. Petersburg, FL

A healthcare organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Medical-Surgical/Telemetry team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting positive patient outcomes in an acute care environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process and established clinical standards
• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients in an acute care setting
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly identify and respond to changes in status
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and organizational policies
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and coordinate patient care plans
• Organize, prioritize, and update care plans in partnership with patients and families
• Identify patients at risk for injury and implement appropriate safety interventions
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Demonstrate professional accountability and participate in ongoing learning and development initiatives

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum of six months of Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
