Dishwasher/Steward Position at The Westgate Hotel

What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like:

• Support daily culinary operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the kitchen.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment in accordance with health and sanitation standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized dish area while ensuring proper flow of kitchen operations.
• Prepare dining areas and kitchen stations for upcoming shifts through cleaning, organizing, and restocking.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, including coffee makers, mixers, cookware, and other culinary tools.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, and properly storing deliveries.
• Sweeping and mopping floors while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Remove trash, recycling, and maintain cleanliness of waste areas.
• Support chefs, cooks, and restaurant team members with additional tasks as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to help.

What We're Looking For:

• No prior experience required; hospitality or kitchen experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced culinary environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment and cleaning machinery.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Reliable attendance and a willingness to support the culinary team.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs require.
