Job Summary The Sales and Service Expert (SSE) delivers an outstanding and well‑rounded sales and service experience to all guests and members through a compelling approach of offering membership, fitness and retail products and services. The SSE builds relationships and translates the value of 24 Hour Fitness product and service offerings, focusing on behaviors that drive member acquisition and retention. The SSE delivers successful guest and member engagement and attainment of sales revenue goals. Responsibilities Execute the CARE sales model with each guest and passionately relate how 24 Hour Fitness's products/services will satisfy their fitness needs. Tours potential members through the club and describe the facility, equipment, services and amenities that directly tie back to their individual fitness goals, ensuring all guests are registered through the digital kiosk. Communicate membership and fitness offers in a clear and concise manner using company‑provided presentation tools. Effectively and professionally enroll guests using company sales techniques and protocol, adhering to specific Membership Agreement Procedures (MAP). On‑board new members successfully and assist with all member retention activities to drive club profitability. Consistently achieve or exceed personal and team sales goals. Obtain leads externally from within the community using company‑provided tools/programs, such as community outreach, local promotions and corporate sales on‑sites. Generate leads or new business internally through member promotions, referrals, guest passes and phone outreach. Set appointments for all leads and potential new business opportunities and promote local and global marketing campaigns to leads and members. Manage and follow up on leads/new business using a Lead Management System and execute a daily planner to track and plan successful lead management and selling activities. Consistently achieve or exceed personal productivity goals. Partner with the Sales and Service Manager (SSM) to provide a best‑in‑class, member‑centric experience that strengthens member relationships and builds retention. Ensure members receive a friendly greeting, prompt check‑in and attention to their needs. Engage members with various fitness offerings, including personal training, group exercise classes and 24GO digital content. Maintain member relationships, serving as a resource for their questions or concerns and connecting them with appropriate 24 Hour Fitness resources. Provide a clean, friendly, well‑maintained club environment and help new members become comfortable in the club. Participate in team building and training initiatives to continuously improve service standards. Qualifications In‑depth knowledge and experience with sales practices and techniques. General understanding of the fitness industry. Proficiency with computers and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems; knowledge of membership system software preferred. Strong interpersonal and customer‑service communication skills. Independent, self‑starter with strong organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team. High School Diploma or GED required; CPR and AED certification within 60 days of employment required. Preferred: Bachelor's degree, 1–2 years of experience in service sales or fitness industry. Organization Relationships Reports to the Sales and Service Manager. Communicates and interacts with club members, prospective members, and outside vendors. This position does not have any direct reports. Physical Demands / Environmental Conditions Ability to work in a club office and move throughout club floors and rooms. Occasional demonstration or explanation of proper physical fitness activities, techniques and procedures. Telephonic communication with members. Use of company computer systems for documentation, data entry and report review. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts. Work a varied schedule, including extended workdays, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work in a loud environment. Travel Requirement Minimum travel may be required for training and lead generation.
