Mack's Bingo Kitchen Bartender

Mack's Bingo Kitchen is an approachable American restaurant that utilizes seasonal ingredients from our organic farm and other nearby farms and purveyors. Our restaurant serves as a learning opportunity for our Junior Crew (local Appalachian Youth participating in our program) to engage with all aspects of the restaurant operations to provide a well-rounded experience in the hospitality industry. Youth have opportunities to work in the kitchen preparing and cooking, as well as on the dining room floor, supporting roles including hosting, serving, and interacting with our guests.

As a social enterprise, Mack's Bingo Kitchen provides a well-rounded hospitality experience for local youth to complement the opportunities offered in our farm, market, bakery, and glass studio. It also provides a casual, approachable, yet exceptional experience for the community through food, drink, and hospitality.

We are looking for a skilled, curious, and genuinely hospitality-driven bartender to help bring the Mack's Bingo bar program to life — someone who sees the bar as both a craft and a connection point, and who finds real meaning in the experience they create for every guest who pulls up a seat.

This role is central to who we are at Mack's Bingo. You will own the bar program and work closely with our front-of-house team to deliver an experience that reflects everything we care about — a whiskey-forward, seasonally driven cocktail program rooted in Appalachia, thoughtfully sourced ingredients, and the kind of genuine hospitality that turns first-time guests into regulars. You bring knowledge, warmth, and consistency to every pour, every shift.

Our bar program is delicious, whiskey-forward, and seasonally driven — rooted in Appalachia and approachable, but always thoughtful. We build our cocktail program around the same values that drive our kitchen: local ingredients, seasonal awareness, and genuine craft. We are not trying to be something we are not — we are trying to be exactly what this community deserves.

Beyond the bar, this role carries a real mentorship dimension. You will work alongside Junior Crew members and server staff, helping to build a beverage culture grounded in curiosity, high standards, and genuine pride in the craft. You set the tone — in the way you build a cocktail, engage a guest, and show up every day.

This position reports to the Front-of-House Manager.

Key Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and ability to stand for long periods of time
• Willingness and ability to commute to Wardensville, WV if necessary.

Expected Work Schedule

For part-time roles:

This position is expected to work 16-29 hours a week for three days a week inclusive of mornings, evenings, weekends and some government holidays.

For full-time roles:

This position is expected to work at least 30 hours a week for five days a week, inclusive of mornings, evenings, weekends and some government holidays.

Compensation

For part-time roles:

This position is classified as nonexempt with a starting wage of $15.00. In addition to competitive pay, we offer the following benefits for part-time employees:

For full-time roles:

This position is classified as non-exempt with an hourly rate starting at $15.00. In addition to competitive pay, we offer the following benefits for regular, full-time employees:

Our businesses provide local Appalachian youth real-life learning experiences and generate proceeds that are 100% reinvested back into the local community. In 2016, Farms Work Wonders started with the Wardensville Garden Market project—an organic farm and farm stand. Since opening, our enterprises have expanded to include a market, bakery, glass blowing studio, and restaurant that have created 80+ local, good-paying jobs with around half held by local high school students.
