Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement software applications, services, and system components Participate in requirements analysis, architecture design, and technical solution development Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern programming languages and frameworks Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and performance tuning Support deployment activities, including CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineers, cybersecurity staff, and stakeholders Implement secure coding practices and comply with applicable security and compliance standards Maintain documentation, version control, and configuration management for developed software Provide sustainment support, including troubleshooting, patching, and enhancements Required Qualifications Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph Twenty (20) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required Five (5) years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree Willingness to be a committer/contributor to open source applications Experience in Java programming for distributed systems, that includes networking and multi-threading Strong Java developer that also has the following background: Kubernetes, Hadoop, MariaDB (or similar), Map Reduce programming model (such as Hadoop, Hive, or Pig), Docker, Python, and Ansible Knowledge of Linux OS development, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and Ansible Desired Qualifications Experience with the following skills: Apache Hadoop Apache Accumulo Apache Zookeeper Apache NiFi Java Programming HAProxy Linux operating system monitoring and tuning Linux operating system level virtualization Committer/contributor to open-source application Agile development experience Benefits and Notes Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans.
