This is a seconded position, meaning the selected candidate will be employed by ITAC but work full-time on assignment with one of our clients. While day-to-day responsibilities will be managed on-site with the client, ITAC provides ongoing support, resources, and benefits as your employer. Overview We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to provide hands‑on engineering support for equipment construction, installation, debugging, and startup at both domestic and international locations. This role plays a key part in overseeing internal teams and contract personnel during installation and conversion projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution. Responsibilities Develop and execute project plans with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and protection of intellectual property. Improve mechanical installation practices to enhance efficiency and reduce timelines. Perform hands‑on troubleshooting and provide direction to technicians. Train personnel on installation methods, procedures, and equipment modifications. Ensure required materials to support project execution including redesign, procurement, tracking, expediting and documentation. Bachelor’s or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. At least 2 - 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Skilled in hands‑on work with mechanical tools and measurement equipment. Strong teamwork, adaptability, and a commitment to safety. Solid understanding of mechanical systems, piping/P&IDs, drive trains, and pneumatic/electromechanical actuators. Ability to interpret engineering requirements and translate them into equipment designs and schematics. Preferred Qualifications Experience using AutoCAD®, Inventor, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project. Background in manufacturing or construction environments.
