Additionally, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients under the direction of the manager/provider. The individual must be enthusiastic about patient care and have the ability to handle varied personalities and personal situations. As an Infusion RN, typical duties look like: Responsible for assessing the patient's health as well as detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and will need to know when action is necessary. Responsible for providing clinical infusion services, additionally responsible for:

• obtaining vital signs.
• assessing health of patient prior to administration of biologic medication.
• insertions and discontinuations of peripheral intravenous catheter.
• mixing/monitoring of medications, administering premeds and administering medications in response to changes in patient’s condition.
• making follow up appointments, answering telephone.
• ensuring accurate and timely documentation per company Policy and Procedures.
• cleaning equipment between patients.

Responsible for reviewing diagnostic as well as laboratory data and report abnormal results to treating physician and/or other healthcare provider. Documents assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record in a accurate timely fashion. Assists with drug inventory management-daily inventory, ordering, monitoring of refrigerator temperatures. Assists with maintaining unit equipment, safety checks, cleaning and promptly reporting any issues. Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations. Other duties as assigned by manager. This job might be for you if you have: Associates Degree. RN Degree Active - State Nursing License. 2 years’ experience working in a healthcare facility. 1 years’ experience working with medical payers including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance. Working knowledge of electronic medical record systems. NextGen. Working knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 coding practices. Excellent organizational skills.
