The Maintenance Technician will perform routine and trouble-shooting tasks for equipment at the Seminole Mill. This position requires the flexibility to work in a multi-craft role and contributes to accomplishing results in a team-based environment. How You Will Make an Impact Create maintenance requests for repairs based on findings with equipment in the mill. Perform maintenance tasks for equipment within the mill. Work as a team with other maintenance team members. Extensive experience dealing with basic industrial safety topics such as lockout, fall protection, confined space entry, personal protective equipment, and guarding. For example: Required Qualifications Education, certification, or equivalent experience required Years of relevant experience Critical technical, functional, or operational knowledge Any required licenses, certificates, or physical requirements Ability to meet work schedule, travel, or location requirements Preferred Qualifications Extensive industrial experience in at least 1 of the following areas is required: Machinist Welding Industrial Operations Able to work in a heavy manufacturing setting. Able to work and communicate effectively in team-based environment. Reliable, dependable, and available for work in all areas of the mill. Manufacturing or Paper Mill Experience preferred Must have at least 5 years of hands-on, documented experience in the following: Applied Mathematics Measurements – Layout skills Use of Portable Tools & Hand Tools Selecting and Using Lubricants Installation of Bearings & Seals Understanding the Operation of Pumps Pump & Motor Component Assembly Basic Hydraulics & Pneumatics Industrial Pipe fitting – tubing & hose systems, plumbing systems, installation & maintenance of valves Industrial Operations Physical & Other Requirements Standing for extended periods. Awkward and/or repetitive movements. Moving or lifting of equipment, materials, and tools up to 50 lbs. repeatedly Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or movement within confined areas. Work in buildings and areas of fluctuating temperature and weather.
