Title | Kitchen Steward (Dishwasher) Hours | 30+ hours per week Status | Seasonal (Through Summer 2026) Location | Union, WA Summary As a Kitchen Steward (Dishwasher), you'll help keep the heart of our resort humming! You'll be in charge of making sure dishes sparkle, pots are scrubbed and the kitchen stays tidy, helping to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Responsibilities Operate the dish machine to wash dishes, glassware, and utensils, ensuring their correct storage. Hand wash pots, pans, and trays as needed. Keep the kitchen, including floors, mats, and dishwashing area clean. Handle waste disposal including trash removal to the dumpster, and maintain cleanliness around the kitchen's exterior, loading dock, and dumpster area as needed. Adhere to safety standards by monitoring dish machine temperatures and practicing appropriate hygiene and food handling. Assist with the delivery and setup of the daily employee meal. Qualifications No prior experience needed. Commercial kitchen experience is a plus. Flexible work availability including weekends required. WA Food Worker Card required within 14 days after hire. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, or kneel. They must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment . This role operates in a kitchen environment and involves routine use of sinks, dishwashers, and tools to clean kitchen appliances. Employees are frequently exposed to hot water, slippery floors, cleaning chemicals, temperature variations, and moderate noise levels.
