Registered Nurse - ED Per Diem

Cottage Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting patients of all ages with a wide range of conditions. As a Level IV Trauma Center, our ED focuses on stabilizing and treating patients efficiently while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

You will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating outcomes within your scope of practice. This includes interpreting clinical data, responding to urgent situations, and ensuring care is appropriate to each patient's age and condition. Strong clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize are essential.

The RN works closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to coordinate care and ensure smooth patient flow. You will also support departmental goals by adhering to policies and procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to a safe and efficient care environment. Participation in quality initiatives and occasional support of research activities may also be part of the role.

Per diem openings require a 2 shift per month commitment.

Qualifications:

Education: Associates or better in Nursing or related field.

Experience: Has TNCC or is willing to obtain within 1 year.

Licenses & Certifications: Required ACLS, Basic Life Support, RN License. Preferred PALS.
