I.P. - Patent Prosecution Associate

Job Overview Fenwick & West, a leader in technology and life sciences law, seeks Patent Prosecution Associates with 2-4 years of patent associate experience to join a highly ranked patent group known for technical expertise and mentorship. Responsibilities Manage and prosecute patent applications, including drafting and responding to office actions. Collaborate with experienced attorneys and technical advisors to develop strong patents for innovative clients. Engage in mentorship and training programs to accelerate technical and legal growth. Qualifications 2-4 years of patent associate experience. Background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, data science, physics, or equivalent. USPTO registration number and admission to the bar in the jurisdiction of practice; membership or eligibility for the USPTO Bar. Superior academic credentials and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Strong technical background, including a master’s or Ph.D. preferred. Preferred Locations Silicon Valley (preferred), Boston, New York, Washington, D.C., Seattle. Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $235,000 – $310,000, adjusted for experience, education, location, and other factors. Discretionary bonus based on performance.
