This position is outpatient clinic only.Essential Position ResponsibilitiesPerform physical examinations of patients to evaluate health and diagnose illnessesOrder and perform diagnostic tests, such as x-rays and laboratory testsDetermine, plan, and initiate appropriate treatment, and adjust treatment if necessaryPrescribe and dispense medicationsDocument medical information of patients and maintain electronic medical recordsEducate, instruct, and counsel patients and families on presenting health problems, treatment plans, and home care, and encourage and promote preventative health care and positive health behaviorsRequest consultation or referral with other health care providers, such as physicians and clinicsActively maintain knowledge of current medical research and trends, and support research projectsQualificationsEducation: Must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner programLicensure and Certifications: Unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license and CPR, required. National certification, required.Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in a previous clinical nursing role, required. Previous experience in Vascular Neurology preferred.Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
