Details Combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department — no separate pediatric area; pediatric patients are seen in all zones across 24 mixed care areas Common patient presentations include STEMI, stroke, sepsis, sprains, sutures, and high-acuity cases, including pediatrics Drips in use include routine vasopressors, insulin, and sedation Standard nurse-to-patient ratio is 4:1, with occasional stretching to 5:1 during peak census 12-hour day/evening shifts: 11a–11p and 1p–1a 36 hours per week Weekend requirement: 6 shifts within every 6-week schedule block No on-call or holiday requirements Epic (ASAP module) is the EMR used Requirements Active VA or Compact RN license required Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS TNCC certification preferred Minimum 2 years of ED experience required Experience with both adult and pediatric emergency patients required Additional Information Navy blue scrubs required Epic ASAP module experience is relevant to this role American Traveler Job ID P-730635.
