Location: Coventry, RI

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday

Job Overview

We are seeking a Production Planner to join a growing manufacturing team in Coventry, RI. This is a great opportunity for a junior-level professional with manufacturing experience who is looking to grow their career in production planning and supply chain.

The Production Planner will be responsible for developing production schedules, managing work orders, monitoring material availability, and coordinating with various departments to ensure production goals and customer delivery deadlines are met.

The ideal candidate has a few years of manufacturing or production planning experience, is comfortable working with ERP/MRP systems, and has strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Aerospace manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and short-term production schedules based on customer requirements, materials, labor, equipment, and available resources.
• Review manufacturing processes, routings, and labor requirements to support accurate production planning.
• Create, review, and release work orders, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and other departments to keep production on schedule.
• Monitor work orders and identify potential delays, material shortages, and scheduling conflicts.
• Adjust production schedules as priorities, material availability, and staffing needs change.
• Maintain accurate planning, scheduling, and work-order information within ERP/MRP systems.
• Communicate production priorities, schedule changes, and work-order requirements to the appropriate teams.
• Track production progress and provide regular updates on work orders and scheduling.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy, production efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• A few years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, scheduling, or production control.
• Manufacturing experience is required; aerospace manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems is required.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, production schedules, and work orders.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
