Senior Systems Engineer - Rust (Robotics Systems)

San Francisco | Up to $250k Salary We’re looking for a highly technical engineer to help build the core systems that power real-time robotic intelligence. This role sits deep in the stack, focused on performance‑critical infrastructure that enables robots to perceive, reason, and act reliably in dynamic, real‑world environments. You’ll be building the foundational systems layer between hardware and AI‑driven behavior - designing and optimizing the compute pathways that make real‑time robotics possible at scale. What you’ll do: Develop high-performance systems components in Rust for real-time robotics workloads Design and optimize algorithms, data structures, and processing pipelines for latency-sensitive systems Own critical execution paths across perception, planning, and control Build safe, concurrent, and deterministic systems for embedded and edge deployment Work closely with robotics and infrastructure engineers to deliver production-ready systems Profile and optimize for CPU-level performance, memory layout, and cache efficiency What we’re looking for: Strong experience building production systems in Rust Strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis Systems programming experience (memory management, concurrency, low-latency systems) Strong intuition for performance optimization at the hardware level History of shipping robust, production‑grade software Open-source contributions in Rust or systems programming Background in robotics, embedded systems, or real-time control Strong competitive programming or algorithmic problem-solving experience This is a chance to work on systems where correctness, latency, and performance directly shape real‑world robotic behavior. #J-18808-Ljbffr UMATR
